12-week course bringing the IGCSE to life via hands-on, practical learning.
Stuart will be delivering the IGCSE combined science curriculum for students who wish to expand their understanding of science to GCSE level. This will be done through practical experimentation, guided and personal research as well as detailed work on how to answer the exam questions. The work done will expand on previous science knowledge, linking in skills from other subjects and developing investigative methods.
In total the IGCSE requires approximately 130 hours of guided study as well as about 60 hours of self-study.
Drawing on previous experience of delivering IGCSE Science, Stuart will endeavour to make this an exciting, interesting and thoughtful journey.
Classes take place 10am to 12pm on Wednesdays at the Outside Education Community Hub and Training Centre on Windsor Road, Prestwich. Weather permitting, some sessions will take place at the Incredible Edible Heaton Park community garden. Parents will be notified of these dates in advance.
